Anti-microbial bags have an electro-statically charged inner liner which traps 99. 7% of all airborne allergens including; dust mites, pet dander, pollen, ragweed, most bacteria, aerosols CFC particles, and many other microscopic particles that cause asthma and allergy sufferers problems. Anti-Microbial bags are 40% more efficient in capturing these particles then standard single walled vacuum bags. Also Antimicrobial bags have filter paper that’s specially treadted to inhibit the growth of germs, mold and mildew on the paper. Each bags also has a convenient seal, allowing you to seal the dust in before replacing the bag, preventing a face full of dust as your pulling the bag out of the vacuum. I would give this product zero stars if the Amazon rating software would let me. Both the photograph of the product and the description of the product as being “genuine Riccar . . . bags made by Riccar” are not true of the product that I received from GoVacuum. This company performed a bait and switch from the genuine Riccar bags photographed and promised in the Amazon description to some generic brand called “EnviroCare Technologies.” There was also no return information included with the shipment, so I now have to do my own leg work to figure out how to return a product that I did not order. If you want genuine Riccar products, look elsewhere.

So after seeing the reviews on this product, I was skeptical to say the least on whether I would receive generic bags, or genuine Riccar bags as advertised due to other people’s experiences. I decided to go ahead with the purchase, as this is really the best price that I’ve found on line anywhere for genuine Riccar bags. I didn’t really care about the seller when purchasing as they all are basically the same price, but I chose B & M Housewares because they are owned by Amazon. To my disappointment when I received the bags, they were Envirocare Technologies, not genuine Riccar bags. I was even more upset after speaking with B & M who informed me that all they had was generic bags, and that only authorized Riccar dealers could provide genuine Riccar bags, and told me that it was a mistake on Amazon.
I was still determined to get the genuine bags at this price, and noticed that GoVacuum’s price was cheaper on Amazon then on their own site for the same bag, so I decided to give them a call to find out if these were really generic bags and the picture was wrong. They were very nice, and assured me that the bags on Amazon were in fact genuine Riccar bags, and that they were even being shipped by Amazon directly to me.
I took their word, and placed my order. I was pleasantly surprised to receive genuine Riccar vacuum bags in 2 days after placing my order! I appreciated the ability to speak with someone on the phone with both companies, and B & M was did allow me to return the generic bags for a full refund.
I know there has been some confusion on this product from some other customers, so I hope that my review clarifies this. It seems that some vendors are sending out generic bags, but GoVacuum is sending genuine.

Ok, I don’t write many reviews but because I saw the mixed reviews on this I had to add mine. I just hate being taken in by incorrect information! Just received 24 bags today. This is my real name, I am not employed by anyone related to the sales of these. I ordered these with Amazon (not any of the “other buying choices.”) I received the genuine article at a slightly cheaper price than the last time I had to buy these from the store. I’m happy!

I had read the previous reviews and decided to order anyway.. hoping that the bad review was indeed a hoax review. BUT, I just received my bags and THEY ARE NOT GENUINE RICCAR BAGS AS SHOWN!! They are envirocare generic bags. AND, if you want to return anything to them – they deduct shipping (even if it was initially free, from your refund. PLUS, a 10% restocking fee (even on new,unopened items). TOTAL FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! They DO NOT SHIP FROM AMAZON AS STATED – They ship from Vacuums Unlimited in Chantilly, VA.

I would like to set the record straight regarding the previous review of this product. I have personally verified that this product is in fact genuine Riccar bags. This product is being fulfilled by Amazon.com, NOT GOVACUUM. We shipped Amazon.com many cases of the genuine Riccar bags to ship for us. I personally ordered these bags from Amazon, and I received GENUINE RICCAR BAGS, as well as return instructions on how to return them to Amazon. It appears the previous reviewer who didn’t leave his name, is one of our competitors.Return instructions are clearly shown on the website.
